Cut Down Your Stress and Burn More Fat

Sometimes you may be puzzled as to why others are dropping those pounds and you are getting nowhere. It is often depressing that you are working so hard to lose those pounds and others are losing weight effortlessly. You wonder if those pounds will ever just disappear. Much of this is actually due to stress.

· Reduce stress: when you are trying to reduce your weight, stress can be one of your biggest obstacles. The reason for this is that when you are feeling tense your body produces stress hormones that will stop your body from getting rid of extra pounds. How does this occur? These stress hormones stimulate your adrenaline glands and your body will go into a flight and fight mode. This will signal your body to store and retain fat cells, which will leave you with belly fat and not allow you to lose weight.

So how do you reduce stress? Here are some pointers:
1. Relax: make a point of relaxing daily. There are a number of ways to do this; get involved with your favorite hobby or sport, read a good book or listen to some music. Any of these things will divert your mind from your problems.

2. Meditation: this is a great way to make your mind a blank, which will allow you to see your problems more clearly and find solutions to them. You can learn this method of stress management through yoga classes.

3. Group discussions: sometimes a group discussion group can help to sort out your problems and relieve your tension. One on one discussion with friends and family members can also help.
